Supporting Nurses in Recovery: A Safe Place for Healing
Recovery is never an easy path, especially for nurses. The weight of responsibility, the constant pressure to perform, and years of caring for others can take a toll on your own well-being. At Sycamore Counseling Services, we recognize the courage it takes to begin the recovery journey. Recovery and reinstatement aren’t just about compliance—they’re about rediscovering identity, rebuilding trust, and reclaiming purpose.
A Safe Place for Healing and Professional Growth
We believe nurses in recovery deserve to be seen as whole people, dedicated professionals who have faced difficult circumstances and chosen to rise again.
Whether you are:
Navigating Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN) monitoring,
Working through KPRN requirements, or
Entering recovery through self-referral,
Sycamore Counseling provides a safe, supportive environment to do this work.
Our licensed clinician, Kasey Teasley, is an approved assessor and treatment provider with the Kentucky Board of Nursing, meaning that all assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports meet the Board’s expectations for reinstatement and ongoing monitoring.
What Makes Our Program Different
Many nurses tell us that what they need most during recovery is structure, understanding, and clarity. Our program provides:
Consistency: Set sessions to maintain continuity and track Board requirements.
Accountability: Progress reports and documentation included—no surprises.
Comprehensive Support: Coordination with case managers, monitoring programs, and other professionals.
Optional Faith Integration: Faith-based principles to strengthen hope and resilience.
Flexibility: In-person sessions in Paducah or virtual sessions statewide.
Financial Clarity: One predictable cost covering all documentation and reporting.
“Our goal is to remove as many barriers as possible—so you can focus on healing, recovery, and professional renewal.”
Next week, we’ll dive into Part 2: Why Specialized Support Matters and What to Expect in the Nurses in Recovery Program.
