Shelby Rhea Miller, LPCC, MAMH
You might be curious about the person you are thinking of sitting across from in a therapy office. I know I would be. Counselors typically list all their clinical qualifications on pages like these. And I’ll certainly do that, but first I want you to know me more as a person.
I care deeply about living a meaningful life. I once started a home design blog (remember when those were the thing) called The Meaningful Home. I can become easily bored if I cannot see the larger purpose or vision behind what I am doing. No surprise I became a therapist. I am happily married to the love of my life, Logan. But between you and me, the road to meeting each other had more twists and turns than I anticipated. I love creating healing environments, at home and at the office. My life has been forever changed by Jesus Christ and I am deeply committed to following Him all the days of life. It shapes my clinical work deeply. For fun - well, I make dorky jokes, de-stress by cooking (as long as it’s clean and I feel like it, let’s be honest) and love to travel to see friends and family. Logan and I are passionate about serving the local church and our family operates around loving God and loving our neighbors.

Kasey Teasley, LPCC-S, LCADC, SAP
Life can feel overwhelming at times, especially for kids and teens who are still learning how to make sense of their emotions, relationships, and place in the world. My passion is helping young people navigate these challenges with support, guidance, and tools they can carry into adulthood. Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, ADHD, trauma, big behaviors, or difficulty adjusting to life changes, I provide a safe and compassionate space for growth and healing.
In addition to working with youth, I support women as they face the unique challenges of motherhood, relationships, and career transitions. My approach is direct, spiritually grounded, and compassionate, blending evidence-based practices like Trauma-Focused CBT with my specialized training in pathological demand avoidance (PDA) and behavioral interventions. Together, we will identify obstacles, process difficult emotions, and build strategies for resilience and personal growth.
I believe reaching out for help is a brave first step, and you don’t have to take this journey alone. Whether I am working with a teenager learning to manage big feelings, or a woman rediscovering her strength during a life transition, my goal is to empower you to find stability, confidence, and hope for the future.
Kasey is taking clients at the Paducah Location and for telehealth in Kentucky.
Katelyn Skaggs, Intake Coordinator
When you call Sycamore Counseling Services for the first time, the voice you’ll hear on the other end is mine - Katelyn, your intake coordinator. My deepest hope for every person I speak with is this, by the time we hang up, you feel two things: excitement for your journey toward wellness, and the assurance that you’ve just spoken to someone who truly cares. I’m not just here to schedule your appointment. I’m here to be your cheerleader as you take steps toward mental and emotional wholeness. You’re not walking this road alone, and I count it a privilege to walk alongside you in some small way, even after you’re connected with your counselor.
Outside of my role at Sycamore, I’m the proud wife of my love of 11 years, Tyler. We’ve built our life in Kentucky, and together we’re raising and discipling two incredible blessings—our daughter, Willow, and our son, Landon. My life revolves around following Jesus Christ. I have the joy of serving as the lead servant in the Women's Ministry at my local church. My favorite ministry role is teaching our Wednesday night Women’s Bible study. Watching the light of God’s Word come alive in people’s hearts is what fuels me. I’m a Bible geek through and through, and when I’m not juggling my many roles, you’ll likely find me on a hiking trail or enjoying coffee with a friend.
